How To Beat Procrastination

“If something’s important enough you should try. Even if you think the probable outcome is failure.” — Elon Musk

Everyone procrastinate. It’s not like no one procrastinate, everyone would have procrastinate more than once in their life. Procrastination do not lead us somewhere although it is not too bad to do. But it is seriously a bad practice if you do it regularly by postponing your work to some other time, not doing it on time.

We should always look into the success story of successful people who are stir in their life, Why?. Because it gives us motivation and we feel energized and gives a driving force to work regularly which may lead to success. So many do procrastination because they have less energy for what they do. A a result of procrastination, their daily work will become a burden over time. This might lead to frustration and loss of hope, moreover the task is still incomplete.

Consistency is the important factor with which one could lead to its goal. Consistency with drive and a positive attitude is like “cherry on top”. These thing will definitely beat procrastination and lead to a happy life.

Small Step

Our mind is not able to process a big chunk of data in one go. It is important to take break but not to procrastinate the work which may lead to incomplete work.Whatever task you have , break your task in small chunk and complete it in small-small time period. Like if you have bread in your hand, you don’t gulp down a whole piece of flatbread all. You break it down into pieces first. The same applied to your task.

Doable To-Do List

Making a list of task in a piece of paper will help you to take control on your mind. It is really good to a to-do list. One of the most important thing is to make a doable to-do list otherwise it will only make stress and burden on your mind. Also if you don’t make doable to-do list, you wont be able to complete and the purpose of it is still not finished.

Track Your Productivity

Although to-do list will do the same thing but writing it with pencil will do an effect on your mind and will gives you a kind of satisfaction. So, every time you are about to make a new entry in the page for a freshly finished task, you see the ones you had previously finished. This send a positive message thus allowing you to focus more and accomplish more.

How To Begin With Web Development

With the outbreak of corona virus, the whole country is under lockdown. Every student is “enjoying” their holidays while thinking at the same time to start studying in a particular field. So if you are looking for beginning your career in the field of web, this blog is especially for you.

There are two components of web development:-

  • Front-End Development
  • Back-End Development

Front-End Develpoment

Front-end development is basically the looks or outer appearance of a website, how it looks, everything is done front end development. It includes many things like HTML, JS, CSS.

HTML-It defines the structure of a website.

JS-It affects the interactivity of the website.

CSS-It gives the style of the website.

Back-End Development

This is use to happen in the server side. There are many function which happens at the server side like:-

  1. Returning search results.
  2. Processing the payments and creation of account.

One of the most important thing is learn it full dedication and give time to it. All the best and stayhomestaysafe

Its High Time

Due to sudden outbreak of corona virus, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi imposed complete lockdown in India ensuring all personal and private firm people to stay inside their home. Only those who are working for the welfare of public is allowed to step out rest are required to stay home. This lockdown might be depressing for you but we all can take the most of it by doing many stuff which is beneficial for us and will help us to improve our wit.

There are many things to do in your leisure time to improve your efficiency such as:-

  • Set goal It is very important to have a goal so that one easily set a routine to overcome boredom.
  • Aptitude helps a lot– Doing aptitude helps you to increase your IQ which is very important for your placements.
  • Do research in any particular field Doing research helps you to get company exposure.
  • Build projects It is the right time to do some project which gives you some practical knowledge.

Zoom Is Taking Over

With the surge in corona virus (COVID-19), whole world is under lock down. To reduce the chance of getting infected by corona virus, every country has locked its boundary and controlled its internal movements. Due to this sudden halt, working remotely has become a necessity overnight. Over recent weeks, almost every Indian company have mandated their staff to work from home to support the concept of social distancing to prevent the spread of corona virus.

Everybody is looking for different alternatives to work remotely even school and colleges are trying to do the same. They are looking to give online live classes aver different platform. This lead to the sudden surge in users of Zoom-video conferencing software.

Yesterday, I was sitting in peace and suddenly a message pops on my phone saying “You’ll be having zoom meetings from tomorrow, to cover subject portion”. I was like ohh, this was the only thing left to happen. But on a serious note, many news headline says, “Zoom has emerged as the most downloaded app on the Apple App Store, repeatedly breaking its download records.

Many students are already spending their time by doing several jobs like this. Now, zoom has also become the part of their list. There are downsides, however, due to the rapid growth, Zoom now faces concerns about privacy and online harassment. Already, the phrase “Zoombombing” has emerged.

If anyone knows anything about zoombombing, comment section is open for him/her.

War Against Corona #stayhome

With surge of corona infected people all over the world , people start panicking in India. Given below is count of corona infected people in India:-

Indian government announced total lock down in India till 21-March, as of now. People are supposed to be at home all the time but people are finding it difficult to cope with it. In this situation, how am I spending my time at home?

I am spending most of my time doing the following things:-

  • Spending time with my family.
  • Indoor work-out.
  • Helping my mom out
  • Aptitude practice.
  • Some online course.
  • Movie marathon.

Also help the government by not stepping out of home unless government announces the next step. These closures are all attempts to force social distancing, a crucially important public health intervention that can help stop transmission of the corona virus. This helps to reduce the spread of corona virus among all of us.

Kindly stay at home and spread this message of how to spend time at home, until then #stayhome.

It’s been a while

Okay!!!! So, again I am going to start blogging regularly from today. Its almost been 5 month of not writting anything but from today I’ll be writting regularly.

Till now I was writing about my machine learning course which really went good. I even started to work on a project named “Crop identification using ML”. It’ll be a android app which will allow you to capture photos of crops and a ML algorithm will help it to identify the crop to give the crop details.

You must be thinking what is next!!!!! what I’ll be writing in the next blog. From the next blog I will start writing about my day-to-day learning. These days I am preparing for my placement since this is my 6th semester and placement activities is going to be started from next semester.

Stay tuned for the next blog…….

Final Week of ML

After completing a loads of assignments given by Andrew NG in his course of Machine Learning, we came to an end where he has given the application of machine learning in Photo OCR and its implementation.

OCR, or optical character recognition, is one of the earliest addressed computer vision tasks, since it does not require deep learning, in some aspect. Also , it has been used in many place like text recognition and face recognition as well.

Many people think the OCR challenge is “solved”, it is no longer challenging. Some thought there is no other specific need as such. Another belief which comes from similar sources is that OCR does not require deep learning, or in other words, using deep learning for OCR is an overkill.

But reading it from the ML course gives me a broader aspect of OCR’s which can be understood from many good sources. What i’ll do is i’ll leave a link here fro you guys to connect through it for a good OCR ML implementation.

Since this is the last blog of my ML course by Andrew NG, after which i’ll be posting about my ongoing python course on Coursera along with my project on Stock price prediction project implementing through Machine Learning.

Anomaly Detection System

In machine learning, building a Anomaly Detection System is important to detect the unusual training set from the examples. Anomaly Detection is the identification of rare item which lies out of the group or from the majority of the data. This lead to the suspicious nature of the training example.

For example:-Suppose we are testing the aircraft by taking down all the aircraft’s data into a graph and one aircraft’s data is found to be located in the different region from the cluster of other aircraft’s data. This example can be considered as the anomaly detection and can be tested further.

Here, the orange dot which corresponds to the training example can be considered as Anomaly Detection.

Application of Anomaly Detection are:-

  • Fraud Detection.
  • Manufacturing.
  • Monitoring computer in data center.

Algorithm of Anomaly Detection:-

Data Compression and PCA

Data compression is very useful technique for storing large amount of data which is used as training set for solving Machine Learning algorithm.Data Compression is a process of modify or converting the bits structure of data in such a way that it consumes less space on disk.

PRINCIPAL COMPONENT ANALYSIS(PCA)

This is used to reduce the 2-Dimensional training set example into 1-Dimensional:-Find a direction onto which to project the data. So, as to minimize the projection error.

Reduce from n-Dimension to k-Dimension:-Find k vectors u(1),u(2),…….,u(n) onto which to project the data. So as to minimize the projection error.

PCA ALGORITHM

In the next article, we will discus about the Anomaly Detection.

Week 8-Unsupervised Learning

After learning about the Supervised Learning, we will talk about the Unsupervised learning. So, What is unsupervised learning?

DEFINITION:- Unsupervised Learning is the learning algorithm used in machine learning which do contains training examples but with no label on it.

Here,Clustering is the most important aspect used in unsupervised learning. clustering is the task of dividing the population or data points into a number of groups such that data points in the same groups are more similar to other data points in the same group and dissimilar to the data points in other groups.

Application of clustering:-

  • Market Segmentation
  • Social Network Analysis

Clustering Algorithm is used to cluster the data into groups with similar data, which is also called as K-Means Algorithm and can be given as:-

Sometimes, one can also fins difficulty in choosing the number of cluster one must take to inculcate in its training set. This can be solved by Elbow Method Which will be a topic of discussion of another blog along with the Dimensionality Reduction(Data Compression).
